Whether you are a local who wants to show off Sarasota's hospitality or a visitor who has a friend or relative in the event, you can help us out. If you or your organization would like to volunteer at this year's event, please take a moment to fill out the Volunteer Application form on-line or on paper. A marathon is a unique community event--a bold event that challenges our sense of what we as individuals can achieve. It is different than any other endurance event because participants are "ordinary people" doing something extraordinary. They are people who have challenged themselves by following a dream, by committing to a goal that pushes the limits of what they believe they can do. They are an inspiration to the entire community, creating a spirit of optimism, achievement, and success. They demonstrate that we can reach our dreams and benefit others if we push ourselves, work hard, and persevere. Be a part of something special! Volunteer your talents!

As a thank you, all volunteers will receive an official 2008 ABC 7 Volunteer tee-shirt.  All volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian approval on their volunteer registration and must be in a volunteer position with adult supervision.  If a group of minors is interested in volunteering, we request the group provide adequate adult volunteers for the group.  We appreciate the support and enthusiasm all our volunteers provide in advance and we thank everyone who has generously donated their time and effort to make this year's marathon the best yet!
