RACE MORNING PARKING Think Green! Consider walking, cycling or carpooling to the race.  www.rideshare.us enables participants to match with others to carpool to the event.  Click Here to register or find a ride.  Enter "groupermarathon" as the event. Getting to the Start Line  From I-75:  Exit 213, University Parkway, westbound on University Parkway to US 41.  Locally, you can take US 41 toward Sarasota-Bradenton International airport.  General parking for the marathon is off of US 41 to the north of University Parkway.

Parking
4 parking areas will be available for general marathon parking.  To park in the Asolo parking lot, you MUST have a VIP parking pass.  Please do not try to enter the Ringling Plaza (the section of University Parkway west of US 41) unless you have your VIP Parking Pass to present to the volunteers monitoring the lot.  You will be redirected back out to US 41 to proceed to general marathon parking which will cause you and others undue delays.  We do not recommend parking in other than these designated areas or buying a VIP Parking Pass to enable you to park in the Asolo parking lot.  You could be subject to towing at the behest of the merchants/property owners if you park in other than the designated areas provided for you.  To get to the general marathon parking, proceed on US 41 north of University Parkway to either College Drive for the Circus or New College lots or General Spaatz Blvd for the Spaatz lot or continue a little futher north to Dolphin Aviation (0.6 miles from the start line).  Dolphin Aviation is on the east side of US 41, approximately 1/2 mile north of University Parkway, look for the Dolphin Aviation sign.  Parking directors will be available to assist you into the parking lots.  Parking is a 5-15 minute walk to the starting line.  Both races start promptly at 6 a.m. and we recommend you be at the start area by 5:45 a.m.
