*Mail-in applications must postmarked by 02/04/09. Do not register via paper application after 02/04/09. Instead, sign up on-line until 02/09/09 11:59 p.m. ET.
**Registration will be available at the Expo if the Sarasota Grouper Marathon and Half Marathon have not reached capactiy.
All mail-in registrants who provide an e-mail and all on-line registrants providing a valid e-mail will receive an automated e-mail confirmation of their registration. No confirmations will be mailed. Approximately 1 week prior to the race, last minute race instructions and your bib number assignment will be e-mailed. You will also receive periodic updates and offers from the Sarasota Marathon. We do not sell nor otherwise release your personal information or e-mail address to anyone!
Notes:
- There will be no registration or packet pick-up on race day. You MUST pick up your race packet, including timing chip and race bib, during the Health and Fitness Expo held on Friday, February 13, 2009 and Saturday, February 14, 2009.
- Registration fees are non-refundable, may not be transfered to another runner and may not be defered to 2010. However, if you register but are unable to participate in the 2009 race and officially withdraw adivsing Sarasota Marathon either in writing or via e-mail by 02/12/09, you will recieve a code for $20 off your 2010 Marathon or $15 off your 2010 Half Marathon on-line registration.
- Once registered, you may change from the full to the half for a transfer fee of $10. You may change from the half to the full for the additional $15 registration fee in addition to the $10 transfer fee.
- You must wear your bib and chip to participate in, be timed and be eligible for the finisher's medal, overall and age group awards for the marathon or half marathon. You must also complete the course for the event (half or full) you registered or officially changed to in order to be eligible for overall or age group awards.
- ABSOLUTELY NO strollers, skates, skateboards, wheeled conveyance (other than race officials), etc. allowed on the course. You will not be permitted to start and if you enter the course other than at the start corral, you will be removed from the course. No pets, leashed or otherwise ,will be allowed to accompany you on the course other than service animals executing their service duties. Per USATF rules, no headphones are allowed on the course.
